Our cattle graze on continuous ecological grass for an entire six months a year. This makes them quite unique, and sets a high standard that demands a certain metabolic ability of the cows.

During winter months the cattle feed on ecological grass and supplement feed from a feed mixer.

The cows are very robust as they are used to making an effort when feeding. Because of this we often see the cattle getting even bigger and better, when they are sold off to more pampered surroundings.

Still we have several cows that weigh more than a ton all year round at Humlegaarden.
